    Some good, some bad!

Monday, February 9, 2009, 08:54 PM EST [General]

Hello all....Well I have had a few good things going on but I have also had some bad things going on too.  I have finally figured out another of my problems and that is the equipment I have in the bag.  Mainly it is in the way the bowling balls are drilled.  I have two balls drilled to go long and one that hooks up early.  I desparately need to go back to my leverage drilling that I used to throw.  I think that will get me back on track and back to a place I used to be.  Does anyone out there know a good ball (current) that will roll evenly using a leverage drill?  I have been thinking about a Storm HyRoad personally.  I welcome all comments and suggestions.  Until next time, I hope everyone has the best of luck in the upcoming weeks.  Please see the stats below to know what I have really been up to lately!

    No bright spots here

Monday, January 12, 2009, 08:51 PM EST [General]

I just can't seem to find any bright spots in my game anymore.  If you look at my stats below you will see what I mean.  I have a just awful game and then I will have a pretty good one, if I'm lucky two.  I keep missing easy spares every time out.  I practice and it still doesn't seem to help.  I have filmed myself, watched it and figured out a few things and think I have corrected them but I am still bowling absolutely horrible.  If anyone has any suggestions, I have a good ear and willing to listen.  Until next time, I wish you all, all the best!!

    A little better

Monday, December 8, 2008, 09:33 PM EST [General]

    Hello everyone,

Well I think things may be making a turn for the better.  I am trying something a little different with my approach where I visualize where I want to throw the ball, find the spot on the approach, (without a set), step up and keep on going.  This seems to keep everything moving along a little more in rythym.  The ball speed hasn't seemed to suffer right now and believe it or not I seem to be a whole lot more accurate.  I just have to continue to develop it as I go and in practice.

Many years ago there was a pro by the name of Barry Asher who did this very same thing and made it work for him.  So the the way I look at it, if he can do it then so can I.

Check out my stats if you like.  Average still stinks but is getting better...Until next time--->>>

    Get it right?!?

Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 08:35 PM EST [General]

One of these days I am going to get this game right (to me) again.  I continue my struggles even with practice.  It seems when the "lights" are on I lose everything I am and have worked for during my practice.  I got a new ball thinking that might help me a little and it has but only a little.  I don't know where to turn anymore and seem to continue to confuse myself more and more every week.  While I used to be about a 180 average bowler, now I find I am not even in the 160's.  I know there are lots of people struggling right along with me but at one point or another you have to break out of the funk.  I have had but one series over 500 so far this season.  Very unlike me and it is really wearing on my ego and pride.  I started bowling in a PBA league hoping that would improve my focus and desire but alas I am only in the very low 150's.  Look at the links below if you are really curious about what I speak of.  Granted I know no one on here truly knows my game but if you happen to have been in this rut I am in and got out of it, please tell me what you did to dig your way out.  I would greatly, greatly appreciate it.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and remember to give thanks for at least one thing this holiday season.

A new season with horrible results

Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 08:30 PM EST [General]

    Hey everyone,

I am jealous of everyone who is bowling well this year so far.  My game for the most part is in the tank and I can't figure out what I am doing so wrong.  I only hope I can figure it out real soon because my ego is taking a major hit right now.  You will see what I am talking about by looking at the scores below.

I wish everyone the best of seasons both on and off the lanes.
